Howdy

I am the founder and system administrator of Z Network Technologies. I maintain infrastructure for small gaming communities to connect and play together with. My day to day tasks include but are not limited to server security, networking, virtualization, devops, system adminstration, programming, and more.

About Me

I grew up in the greater Philadelphia area and my passion for technology peaked when I wanted to learn how get java and flash games to work inside of my High School's firewall. I've taken my passion for gaming and turned it into a learning sandbox where over the years I have been self teaching myself new ways to manage game servers more efficiently and securely. Outside of the technical space I love to go camping, hiking, kayaking, and vsiting amusement parks.

Some Of My Projects

Project 1

Games, Videos, Social and More! (June 2009 – August 2011)

This was a website I created in middle school with over 3000+ flash and java games, general computer advice, and tips. It where I really started to learn more about computers, networks, and basic coding.

Z Server SMP (Minecraft Server) (May 2011 – Present)

My first and continual dabble into Linux game server hosting and management. This is where my self teaching really took off leading me to more programming languages, learning deeper Linux administration through lots of cringe and pain the hard way, and security. This has led me to where I am today experimenting constantly in my homelab.

The homelab (2024 – Present)

At home I have been tinkering away and constantly learning new things and trying new things. I have run fiber optic runs throughout the house to various switches and been learning more about fiber, lasers, and networking commands. I have also been adding mini PCs and putting Proxmox on them to self host many types of services in my house from Home Assistant, DNS, game servers, monitoring servers, backups, and more.
